The People of Fursum District of Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau state, Rolled out their Drums as the Traditional Council,led by the District head,Coronated a Legal luminary, Politician and a community leader, Barrister Zachariah Awang,as the New Asiyar of Fursum,the position is meant for the Youths who have distinguished themselves and create impact in the Society.
Zachariah Awang is the immediate past President of the Afizere Youth Movement,the Youth Movement of the Afizere Nation,he is known of his humility and meekness, his achievements as the Youth President as well as the Church Secretary are quite enormous and these attributes and traits has attracted him to many.

The Coronation took place at the Palace of the District head in Fursum and attracted Dignitaries from all walks of life they includes the Executive Chairman of Jos East Local Government Council,Hon. Markus Nyam Husseini,the Former Executive Chairman of the locality, Hon. Pastor Yakubu Izang Ezekiel,Former Vice Chancellor of the Plateau State University,Bokkos, Professor Yohana Daniel Izam and a host of others l.
The Izere Royal Flutes thrilled and entertained the guests inline with the Izere Tradition and Culture.
