The Benue State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the 2027 election, Honourable Matthias Byuan, has congratulated the family of Honourable Mohammed Abdullahi, popularly known as Elephant, and his wife, Hajiya Hafsat, on the occasion of the naming ceremony of their newborn baby.

In his congratulatory message, Byuan described children as precious gifts from God and a source of joy, happiness and fulfilment to every family. He noted that the arrival of the newborn was a testament to the peace, love and happiness within the family of his friend and political associate, Honourable Mohammed Abdullahi.
The former Executive Director of Finance and Accounts at the Federal Housing Authority further congratulated the celebrants and prayed that Almighty God would grant them the wisdom, resources and strength to raise the child in an admirable manner, for the service of God and humanity.
He also prayed to Almighty Allah to bless the newborn with sound health, divine protection, wisdom and a prosperous future.
Meanwhile, Byuan called on the people of Kogi East Senatorial District to support the senatorial aspiration of Honourable Mohammed Abdullahi, popularly known as Elephant, expressing confidence in his capacity to provide effective, purposeful and functional parliamentary representation for the Igala-Bassa nation.
Honourable Mohammed Abdullahi is the Chairman of Elephant Guard Security, a reputable private security company with a presence and recognition across the country.
His ambition for legislative representation dates back to 2011, when he first contested for the Ankpa/Olamaboro/Omala Federal Constituency seat in Kogi State.
In 2015, he also aspired to become Governor of Kogi State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). However, following consultations with political elders from Kogi East, he was advised to step down in favour of the late Prince Abubakar Audu during the party’s governorship primary, after he had obtained the party’s expression of interest and nomination forms.

His longstanding political involvement, experience and connections across the state, according to his supporters, position him as a strong contender for effective representation of the Igala-Bassa people at the National Assembly.
