Best Governor Award for Governor Oborevwori: A Reward for Hard Work, Says Hon. Chief John Nani, DESOPADEC Board Chairman

Hon Chief John Nani, the Chairman of DESOPADEC Board has described the prestigious This Day Newspaper Best Governor of the Year Award given to His Excellency RT Hon Sheriff OBOREVWORI the Governor of Delta State on Saturday 25th, 2025 in Lagos as a reward for hard work
Hon Chief Nani, the DESOPADEC Board Chairman stated that the national recognition and honor given to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State is the evident result of effective governance.

He added, saying: “” The accolades pouring in are all celebrating the relentless dedication of Governor Sheriff OBOREVWORI to impactful leadership, grassroots development, and the transformative execution of his M.O.R.E Agenda.

Hon. Chief John Nani, the Chairman of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), pointed out that the award was indeed an honor well-deserved.

He added,: ” The best Governor award is an Acknowledgment of Governor Oborevwori’s tireless efforts to elevate Delta State. Speaking at the DESOPADEC Headquarters in Warri, Chief Nani applauded the governor’s commitment to inclusive governance, infrastructural renewal, and empowerment programs for oil-producing communities.

“This award is not just a recognition but a validation of the governor’s hard work, vision, and passion for the people of Delta State,” Chief Nani stated. “Through his strategic policies, especially under the M.O.R.E Agenda, Governor Oborevwori has provided opportunities for youth empowerment, improved healthcare, better road networks, and sustainable livelihoods for oil-producing communities.”

Chief Nani further commended the governor for prioritizing the development of neglected regions, fostering unity across ethnic divides, and addressing critical environmental challenges in oil-producing areas.

The DESOPADEC Chairman called on stakeholders and Deltans to continue supporting Governor Oborevwori’s administration, ensuring the continuation of life-changing projects across the state. “This award is not just for the governor but for every Deltan who believes in progress and works together for a brighter future,” he added.

The Best Governor Award has solidified Governor Oborevwori’s status as a visionary leader and symbol of hope, inspiring confidence in the possibilities of sustained growth and prosperity for Delta State.
