BEYERO RAISES ALARM OVER APC’S BREECHES OF OWN CONSTITUTION.
A presidential aspirant under Nigeria’s ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Lawal Beyero, has accused the party of breaching its own constitution.
Beyero raised the concern after he was allegedly denied access to the party’s presidential expression of interest and nomination forms, despite claiming to be a financially up-to-date member of the party.
He questioned the basis for the denial, arguing that no provision in the Electoral Act or the APC constitution requires aspirants to meet specific financial conditions before declaring their intention to contest for office.
The presidential hopeful described the situation as a breach of constitutional provisions and a procedural error by the party.
Beyero however explained that inspite of the frustration the party’s action must have caused him, he was still ready to engage the party leaders for explanation, pointing out that as a loyal party Member since 2014, he sees the issue as a family issue that could be amicably addressed as soon as possible.
Beyero claimed to have approach the the Presidential Expression of Interest and nomination forms sales desk, at the Abuja Continental Hotel, Monday,May 4th,2026.
