Bread Production: Again, Nigeria Beats Others, Emerge Winner At West African Food Festival 2024
Good news filters in early hours of today as Nigeria emerge winner at the highly contested Bread Production Competition at the ongoing West African Food Festival holding in Lome, Togo.
The representative of Nigeria at this competition, Chef Gladys Abulu baked 32 varieties of bread over a given period of time and met the specifications of the competition to bring Nigeria the honour as the best in bread production.
Chef Gladys Abulu, the Chief Chef and Chief Instructor at White Dish Culinary Academy, Abuja is bringing Nigeria this honour for the second time in a row as she was the winner of the last year’s edition which was held in Lagos where she took the Nigeria flag high. This year’s edition at Lome, Togo was even more tensed as many other countries representative learnt she will be representing Nigeria once again they came prepared to beat her but she changed the game by mixing all her ingredients with hands while many where using mixers – that took many including the judges by surprised and more interesting is her accuracy in measurements, she was on point giving her edge over other competitors.
Today, the Nigerian flag is flying higher in Lome, Togo with this win as Nigeria is best in bread production in the whole of West Africa
