BRICKHALL SCHOOL RECEIVES ACCOLADE OVER 6TH ANNUAL INTER-HOUSE COMPETITION.
The reality and practicality of the saying, ” All work and no play makes jack a dull Boy”, was witnessed and demonstrated at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, federal Capital Territory, Abuja Saturday March 8th, 2025 ,as the Brickhall School held her 6th annual Interhouse Sports Competition.
Attendees were drawn from parents,Staff, management, Students from the School and those from other Schools, athletes and observers from both public and private organizations.
Houses that participated in some of the Sports Competition were, the Jade House, Lapis House, Jasper and Amber House. Sports activities that were witnessed , included amongst others, track and field,100 and 200 metres race for Boys and Girls at both Senior and junior, sack race, tug of war, Relay, Bursting of Balloons, Dancing and Match pass by all the the Houses that participated in the Competition.
Speaking to our Correspondent, the Principal of the School, Mr Chinonso Ahanotu lauded the Students, parents, academic and non academic staff of the School for their support and cooperation which led to the success of the event. He said the 6th annual Interhouse Sports Competition 2025, has also provided the opportunity for Setting new records and old ones broken by participants.
Also Speaking, Mr Adamu Abubakar a member of the Parents Teachers Forum, expressed delight and Commended the School management over the performances of the Students and the School management for Staging such a well organized Sports event, adding that, the Interhouse Sports Competition has Shown that the School was doing well in all aspects of human endeavors, not limiting it efforts to academics alone.
Barr. Uju Kingsley on her part described the Brickhall School 6th annual Interhouse Sports Competition as a wonderful event Considering the performance of the Students, she added that the Interhouse Sports Competition has also provided opportunity to discover talents that could represent the School, federal Capital Territory and the nation in biger Sports Competition, even as she called on the School management to sustain the tempo of excellence.
Earlier, Mr Chinonso Ahanotu the Principal of the School, said the School was Committed to harnessing all the talents deposited in any Students of the Brickhall School, and that the Interhouse Sports Competition was aimed towards Showcasing the holistic educational approach adopted by the School management, which also involved engaging Students in Multidisciplinary career paths.
