Candef Energies and Business Hub on Tuesday commissioned a new 4-in-1 business complex at Army Signal Area, Lokoja.

The commissioning witnessed top government officials, traditional and religious leaders and security chiefs describing it as a boost to jobs, commerce and economic growth in Kogi State.

The complex comprises a filling station, the 2nd outlet of Treasures Supermarket, a luxury multipurpose executive hall, a cold room facility for frozen items, and office spaces for short-term and long-term use.

The Managing Director of Candef Energies and Business Hub, Dr Femi Akande, said the project was designed to go beyond business expansion to impact livelihoods.

“This phase is about more than a filling station. It is about job creation. It is about empowering the youth. And we are ready. We have a plan to do even more to encourage and empower them,” he said.

Dr Akande explained that the new Treasures outlet is “as big as the first” and noted the brand’s reputation for quality.

He added that the executive hall will host seminars, receptions and events, while the office spaces are also open to students and professionals needing a conducive work environment.

“If you reside in Lokoja, you already know Treasures and its antecedents. When you talk about Treasures, you talk about quality and sustenance,” he said.

Engr. Emmanuel Kayode, who chaired the occasion, described the investment as timely and capable of stimulating local commerce.

The Secretary to the Kogi State Government, Dr Folashade Ayoade, commended Dr. Akande for consistent investments that create employment and grow the state’s economy.

She said government believes in entrepreneurs who are mindful of Kogi’s development and are pooling resources to drive growth.

The Chief Judge of Kogi State, Hon. Justice Josiah Majebi, who commissioned the projects, urged leaders to use their positions to uplift the poor and vulnerable.

“Who has laboured in love for others? Who has used his position to improve others? You must always use your position to help others grow and better their lives,” he said.

A special prayer was led by Pastor Israel Olajumoke, (aka One-Man Battalion), State Pastor of Living Faith Church Worldwide, for God’s blessings upon Dr. Akande, his wife Mrs. Kekelomo Akande, the business and its staff.

In his royal goodwill message, the _Elulu of Mopa and Chairman, Mopamuro Traditional Council, HRH Oba Muyiwa Ibenu_, blessed the Akande family and commended them for making Mopamuro LGA proud.

Also present were the Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, CP Nasiru Kankarofi and the Kogi State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), CC Aletan Olumide Ebenezer, who assured adequate security for the facility.

Other dignitaries praised the Akandes for their philanthropy and high product standards, and urged management to sustain the feat.

The event ended with facility tours and goodwill messages from guests.
