Captain Timi Iyela mourns the passing of late Chief Albert Idowu Soje

…says he was a reservoir of knowledge, leader and a torch-bearer

March 16, 2024

Former Kogi State PDP House of Representatives aspirant, Captain Timi Iyela on Saturday mourned the passing of late Chief Major Albert Idowu Soje.

In a statement by his media office, Captain Timi Iyela described the late former Majority Leader of Kogi State House of Assembly as a reservoir of knowledge, a leader and a torch-bearer who will be missed by all sons and daughters of Ogori Magongo Local Government.

“He was a reservoir of knowledge, a leader per excellence, and a torch-bearer. As Commissioner for Agriculture, he left an indelible mark on the agricultural sector of Kogi State. As Majority Leader of the Kogi State House of Assembly, he contributed immensely towards people-friendly bills geared towards making life better for the people of Kogi State. As a traditional title-holder from Magongo, he gave his all for Magongo and for all of Ogori-Magongo Local Government” Mr. Iyela said.

Capt. Iyela also stressed that the late PDP chieftain was a beacon of hope who deployed his wealth of knowledge to steady the ship of the party in Ogori Magongo and helped navigate it around the murky waters of politics.

Capt. Timi Iyela said that the late Major Soje will be missed greatly by all sons and daughters of Ogori Magongo land. He prayed that the Almighty God will grant him eternal rest and give his loved ones whom he left behind the courage to bear the irreplaceable loss.

Amen.

Signed
