This annual occasion serves as a poignant reminder of the pivotal role

Across the length and breadth of Nigeria, from the bustling cities to the remote villages, millions of individuals wake up each day to embark on their respective journeys to workplaces, offices, factories, farms, and beyond.
They are essentially, as remarked by Karl Marx in his super structure illustration, the backbone of the nation, the engines that power the economy, and the architects of its future.
This year’s 2024 Workers Day celebration holds a particular significance as Nigeria continues to navigate through a myriad of challenges, both internal and external. From the negative impacts of the depreciating Naira value, the cataphora of Problems thrown up by the subsidy removal by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and many other economic uncertainties and social disparities, faced by the Nigerian workers is indeed enough to call them veterans.
Truth be told, the Nigerian Workers
have demonstrated resilience, fortitude, and unwavering commitment in the face of adversities equal to non since the beginning of project Nigeria.

As we celebrate International Workers Day , today, May 2024, let us recommit ourselves to supporting and empowering Nigerian workers, ensuring that they have access to fair wages, decent working conditions, and opportunities for growth and advancement.
In the words of Nelson Mandela, “It is only through labor and painful effort, by grim energy and resolute courage, that we move on to better things.” Let us stand in solidarity with the Nigerian workers as they continue to strive for a better tomorrow, for themselves, their families, and their beloved nation.
We salute the labour of our heroes past like Late Pa Michael lmoudu, Late Chief Frank Kokori etc. We also commend the laudable efforts of the living labour icons , particularly the likes of , His Excellency, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, Comrade Ayuba Wabba,, and many other foot soldiers who made the Nigeria labour union thick and worthwhile. From the bottom of our hearts, we truly appreciate the window of opportunity provided by the Workers Day worldwide on May first, 2024 to appreciate the Nigerian Workers.
