Chief Babayemi Olorunfemi Praises Governor Ododo’s Remarkable Security Initiatives and Urges Collective Responsibility for Peace in Kogi State

In a resounding show of support and appreciation, Chief Babayemi Olorunfemi, a renowned philanthropist, respected community leader, and influential stakeholder in Kogi State, has publicly commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his outstanding efforts in transforming the security landscape of the state. His words echo a vital truth: security is a shared responsibility that requires the collective effort of government, communities, and every individual.

Chief Olorunfemi expressed his heartfelt admiration for the proactive and strategic leadership demonstrated by Governor Ododo in recent months. He praised the governor’s deliberate investments in security infrastructure, intelligence, and community collaboration, which have yielded tangible results. “What we are witnessing today in Kogi State is a testament to visionary leadership and unwavering dedication to the safety and well-being of our citizens,” he said passionately.

He highlighted specific successes in Yagba East and Kabba-Bunu Local Government Areas, where security operatives, working closely with local communities, successfully apprehended kidnappers and rescued victims. These breakthroughs, he noted, are a direct result of the governor’s support for grassroots security initiatives, including the reactivation of community policing, the deployment of modern tools, and the strengthening of vigilante groups. This comprehensive approach shows that security is not just about deploying forces but about building partnerships, fostering trust, and empowering local communities to take charge of their safety, he added.

Chief Olorunfemi emphasized that these efforts are laying a solid foundation for sustainable growth and development. When citizens can go about their daily lives without fear, it creates an environment conducive to economic progress, education, and social harmony. Security is the bedrock upon which all development is built. Without peace, our aspirations for a prosperous Kogi remain out of reach, he stated.

As a philanthropist whose work revolves around empowering communities and promoting peace, Chief Olorunfemi called on all Kogites to support and sustain these security efforts. While the government must lead, security is ultimately everyone’s responsibility. It is a collective duty, whether as individuals, families, or community groups, to remain vigilant, report suspicious activities, and work together to uphold peace, he urged. “Security is not solely the job of the government, police or military; it is a shared obligation that involves all of us. Our unity and commitment are what will secure a peaceful future for Kogi.”

He concluded with a note of confidence in Governor Ododo’s leadership, stating, “With his strategic vision, inclusive approach, and relentless pursuit of safety, Kogi State is indeed in safe hands. I call on every Kogite to rally behind this administration, support ongoing security initiatives, and actively participate in safeguarding our homeland.”

In summary, as Kogi State continues to witness positive strides in security, the words of Chief Babayemi Olorunfemi serve as a powerful reminder: peace and safety are collective responsibilities. Everyone, government, society, and individuals must work hand in hand to build a secure, peaceful, and prosperous future for all. Together, with committed leadership and active community participation, Kogi State will continue to experience better days .
