CHIEF (ENGR.) NDA USMAN MUHAMMED FOUNDATION AWARDS FULL-TIME SCHOLARSHIPS TO EIGHT BASSA-NGE STUDENTS.

The Chief Engr. Nda Usman Muhammed Foundation has awarded full-time scholarships to eight deserving Bassa Nge students of the Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa, thereby enabling them to successfully pursue and complete their academic programmes without financial hindrance.

The announcement was formally made during the grand reception and celebration of Chief Engr. Usman Nda Muhammed’s leadership, enduring legacy, and recent appointment by His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.

In her goodwill remarks, the Deputy Registrar of the institution, Dr. (Mrs.) Dajili Elizabeth, expressed profound appreciation to the Foundation for what she described as a “remarkable investment in the future of the Bassa Nge people.” She acknowledged the timely intervention as a practical response to the challenges faced by many students in accessing and sustaining quality education.

Also speaking at the event, Mrs. Celina, a senior staff of the College, hailed the gesture as unprecedented, noting that it is the first time in history that a Bassa Nge son has extended support of such magnitude to students of the College. She encouraged other privileged individuals from the community to emulate the initiative, stressing that education remains the bedrock of societal growth and development.

In his address, Chief Engr. Usman Nda Muhammed reaffirmed his commitment to youth empowerment and educational advancement across Bassa Local Government. He called on Bassa Nge sons and daughters to give priority to people-centered initiatives that directly uplift lives and strengthen the community’s collective progress.

The well-attended ceremony drew notable dignitaries, including the Chairman of the Local Government, the Hon. Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Hon. Muktar Shaibu, the APC State Financial Secretary, Hon. Paul Sheneni, the Member representing Bassa Constituency at the State Assembly, Hon. Sunday Daku, the SUBEB Secretary, Hon. Salisu Adakeke, as well as the APC Divisional Party Chairman for Bassa, among other distinguished personalities.

The highlight of the event was the symbolic presentation of scholarship cheques and academic files to the beneficiaries, coordinated by the school management and jointly presented by the dignitaries in attendance.

This initiative once again underscores Chief Engr. Usman Nda Muhammed Foundation’s enduring philosophy of service, legacy, and empowerment, reaffirming its role as a beacon of hope for the Bassa Nge people and beyond.
