Christians Encouraged to Assist Widows and Orphans
By Peter Azi – Jos
The Provincial Church Council (PCC) Jos, in conjunction with the Regional Church Council (RCC) Jos Jarawa, under the leadership of the General Church Council of the Church of Christ in Nations, has organized a sendoff service for the wife of the late Reverend Bulus Arin.
The Reverend, who passed away in December 2025 in a ghastly accident, was the lead pastor of COCIN LCC1 Furaka, RCC Jos Jarawa.
The church plans a sendoff prayer service for his wife and the three children he left behind.
Guest speaker at the service, Rev. Michael Dagwer, retired, read from the Book of Matthew 25:35-40, emphasizing the importance of giving and assisting those in need.
He encouraged Christians to adopt the habit of giving, saying, “Whatever you give to someone, you’re doing so for yourself, and your reward is coming.”
He further read from the Book of Luke 6:38, “Give, and it will be given to you.”
The cleric encouraged the wife and children to be courageous and urged the congregation to pray fervently for them.
He also read from the Book of Matthew 10:42, emphasizing that believers should give not out of pity, but as a point of duty.
Goodwill messages were received from the Chairman of PCC Jos, Dr. Mudimka Seri, and Chairman of RCC Jos Jarawa, Rev. David Ajang.
Various gifts and donations were presented from the GCC, clergies, RCCs, PCC, Women’s Fellowship, Men’s Fellowship, and others in support of the family.
