Clearing of Refuse Began in Jos North.

Following the declaration of State of Emergency on Sanitation and Environment in Jos North and Jos South LGAs by the Executive Governor of Plateau state, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang, the Authorities of Jos North Local Government Council has commenced the evacuation of refuse in order to sustain the beauty of Jos and environs.
This is also aimed at ensuring safety hygiene occasioned by the ongoing industrial action embarked upon by the state workforce including personnel of the Plateau Environmental Sanitation Agency, PEPSA.
After being sworn in as Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang declared a State of Emergency on sanitation in the state.
To ensure the three ties of Government is keying into the phylosophy of Mutfwang’s administration, the Jos North Local Government Council,ordered the immediate evacuation of refuse at the, AP Filling station and Terminus market.
The chairman Commended Governor Mutfwang for his foresight to ensure that Jos/ Bukuru metropolis is kept clean noting that cleanliness is next to Godliness and pledged his council’s determination to ensure a hygiene free society despite the Industrial action.
He said his administration will continue to liase with the agency concerned in keeping the city clean to avoid further duping of refuse.
The Jos North Council Chairman used the opportunity and to call on the Labour to suspend the ongoing industrial action in the state to enable the new administration to hit the ground running without any further delay.
He stated that if the ongoing industrial action is suspended, it will enable the new administration to negotiate with the Unions to resolve the issues amicably.
