I, Hon. Abdulganiyu Abdullahi, Coordinator of the Emmanuel Obaro Progressive Movement, thank Almighty God and the good people of Yagba East for turning out in large numbers to vote for the best House of Assembly member Yagba East has ever produced.
Hon. Emmanuel Obaro clinched the APC ticket for the Yagba East State Constituency seat in the Kogi State House of Assembly, winning all 10 wards in the primary election held today, *Wednesday, 20th May 2026*.
Party officials and observers described the outcome as a landslide victory across the local government, firmly cementing Hon. Obaro’s position as the APC flagbearer for the next Kogi State House of Assembly election.
The direct primary, conducted simultaneously across all 10 wards of Yagba East, witnessed an impressive turnout of party members. Results announced at the end of the exercise showed Hon. Obaro polling the highest votes in every ward, with no ward going to his challengers.
APC stakeholders in Yagba East described the outcome as a clear reflection of Hon. Obaro’s grassroots mobilization, integrity, and proven track record of service. In the buildup to the primary, party members were urged to rally behind him, with supporters pointing to his experience, accessibility, and delivery of constituency projects as key reasons for their choice.
