Court remands Pastor Enenche’s brothers and ex-Dunamis pastor in prison over alleged defamation

A Magistrate Court in Wuse, Abuja, has ordered the remand of Mr. Enenche Enenche, Alexander Enenche, and Pastor Abraham Daniel at Keffi Prison, Nasarawa State.

The two brothers of Pastor Paul Enenche, Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Church, and former Dunamis pastor Abraham Daniel were taken into custody following a police invitation.

Sources revealed that the trio were initially detained by the Nigerian Police Force at the Force Intelligence Department (FID) after they honored an invitation related to allegations of cyberb¥llying and criminal d+famation against Pastor Paul Enenche.

They were later remanded at the Keffi Custodial Centre on Monday evening after police secured an order from the Magistrate Court.

The situation began on January 7, 2025, when Alexander Enenche and Pastor Daniel were arrested and held on allegations of cybercrime but were granted bail the following day after agreeing to resolve the matter amicably. However, they were instructed to report back to the police on January 10 and January 13.

According to reports, upon their appearance at the Force Headquarters on Monday, they were held in police custody until a remand order was obtained from the Magistrate Court later that evening.

A source said, “They were detained till evening, and a remand order was secured to take them to Keffi Prison.”

Details of the remand order, including the name of the magistrate and the duration of their detention, remain unknown.

Meanwhile, a source close to the case confirmed that a fundamental rights application would be filed on Tuesday to challenge their continued detention.

“We are working on filing a fundamental rights application tomorrow,” the source added.
