Demise of Ohinoyi of Ebira Land : Kogi Assembly Condoles Gov Bello , Entire Ebira Nation
Kogi State House of Assembly yesterday 28th of November 2023 sent condolences to the Executive Governor of the state ,Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the entire people of Ebiraland over the recent transition of the highly reverend and respected traditional ruler of Ebiraland ,His Royal Majesty Dr Abdurahaman Ado Ibrahim CON.
During the plenary sitting, the Chief Whip of the House and member representing Adavi State Constituency, Hon Asema Baba Haruna moved a motion titled “a condolence message in honour of our departed paramount ruler, His Royal Majesty ,Dr. Abdulrahman Ado Ibrahim CON, presented by my humble self, Hon. Asema Baba Haruna, who doubles as the Chief Whip of the 8th Assembly, Member representing Adavi State Constituency. Dated 28th day of November, 2023.
“Kulinafsi Zaikatul Maut” meaning “Every soul shall taste death”
He went further stating that
“on the 29th day of October, 2023 ,it was a black day in Ebira Land.”
The Chief Whip added that”throughout his long reign of 26 years on the throne, His Royal Majesty had been a shining example of devoted service and commitment to duty in Ebira Land, he embodied the spirit of the nation and together with millions around the world, we mourn and console the entire family he left behind”
Hon Baba Haruna equally moved that the Honourable Members should observe a minute silence for the late Royal Majesty Dr Abdurahaman Ado Ibrahim CON”
Here him “shall we rise to observe a minute silence in honour of our departed Royal Father, Saki Oziudu Oziezu Cherechere Manyunava Aniku Nyatu. ”
“May his kind and gentle soul rest in perfect peace.” , the Speaker, Rt Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf said at the end of the observation of a minute silence for the soul of the departed monarch.
Thereafter, Hon Asema concluded that the Royal Father touched many lives with his kind spirit, intelligence and compassion and added that he would be greatly missed by the entire people of Ebira Nation
