Democracy Day: Let Ijumu’s Resources, Opportunities and Affairs Serve the Interests of Our People — MOY
As Nigerians celebrate Democracy Day, Hon. Musa Olumayowa Yakubu (MOY), ADC Flagbearer for Ijumu State Constituency in the 2027 Kogi State House of Assembly election, has called for people-centred governance in Ijumu.
MOY stressed that democracy should go beyond elections and translate into improved living conditions for the people. He urged leaders and stakeholders to ensure that Ijumu’s resources, opportunities, and affairs are managed transparently and in ways that directly benefit the people.
According to him, the true dividends of democracy include quality education, improved healthcare, youth empowerment, support for farmers, enhanced security, and sustainable infrastructure development.

He also called on the people of Ijumu, especially the youth, to remain actively engaged in the democratic process and work collectively towards the progress of the local government.
“As we celebrate Democracy Day, let us recommit ourselves to building an Ijumu where our resources and opportunities serve the interests of our people and contribute to the development of our communities,” MOY stated.
