Democracy Newsline Newspaper @ 14: Elulu of Mopa, HRM Oba Ibeun to be Royal Father of the Occasion
The Elulu of Mopa and Chairman, Mopamuro Traditional Council in Mopamuro local government of Kogi State, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Muyiwa Ibeun would be the Royal Father of the day at this year’s annual awards program in commemoration of the 14th year anniversary of Democracy Newsline Newspaper which coincided with the 64th Independent anniversary of Nigeria as a country.
A message signed by the Executive Editor of the reputable media outfit, Elder Olalekan Aiyenigba and made available to newsmen in Abuja, described the Royal Father as a man of impeccable character whose zeal for the development of his kingdom knows no bounds.
He said considering the achievements of the monarch within the short period he ascended the throne of his forefathers as the Elulu of Mopa, the management found him worthy to be honored with an award as the Royal Father of the year, 2024, stressing that Oba Ibeun will be the event in dual capacities.
He stated that the Democracy Newsline Newspaper Award (DNNA) is an annual event wherein individuals and organizations that have distinguished themselves in their chosen careers and sectors of operations are being recognized with Awards of Excellence to encourage them to do more for the nation and humanity.
He said the Award of Honour Program is an event of an arm of Michabifem Ventures Limited, Publishers of Democracy Newsline Newspaper and Weblog bridging the gap between the government and its citizens as guaranteed by the international laws and 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended being a member of the fourth estate of the realm.
He noted that the presentation will be held on the 9th October, 2024 at the Banquet Hall of the National Merit House, Abuja by 10.am prompt.
