Deputy National Publicity Secretary, APC, Hon Durosinmi Meseko Demands Action After Fatal Accident on Felele Road

The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Durosinmi Meseko has issued a strong call for a lasting solution to the persistent accidents plaguing Felele Road in Lokoja, following a tragic incident on February 17th that claimed the lives of several students. The accident, which occurred near the Federal University, Lokoja, has sparked widespread concern and calls for immediate action.

Hon. Meseko, who expressed deep condolences to the families of the deceased students and the university management, emphasized the urgent need for a comprehensive approach to address the recurring safety issues on Felele Road. He highlighted the alarming number of accidents over the years, many of which have resulted in fatalities.

“We cannot keep mourning these young lives lost due to preventable accidents,” stated Hon. Meseko. “This is a serious matter that requires immediate attention and a long-term solution. We need to understand the root causes of these accidents and implement measures to ensure the safety of all road users, especially students who rely heavily on this road.”

Hon. Meseko called for collaborative efforts between the government, relevant authorities, and local communities to find a lasting solution. He suggested potential measures such as road infrastructure improvements, traffic enforcement, and public awareness campaigns.

“This is a matter of life and death,” he stressed. “We owe it to our students and the community to ensure that Felele Road is safe for everyone.”

The Deputy National Publicity Scribe of APC also sent his condolences to the management of the Federal University, Lokoja, and expressed its deep sorrow over the tragic loss of students.

The accident has once again brought to light the urgent need for decisive action to improve road safety in Lokoja. It remains to be seen what steps will be taken to ensure that Felele Road becomes a safer route for all.
