Deputy Senate President Senator Barau I. Jibrin Honored with Prestigious Fellowship of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN).

Abuja – In a momentous occasion during the 30th Annual National Conference of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Deputy Senate President Senator Barau I. Jibrin was conferred with the highly esteemed Fellowship of the association, joining the ranks of Nigeria’s most accomplished accounting professionals.
The coveted designation of Fellow Certified National Accountant (FCNA) is reserved for members who have demonstrated outstanding professional excellence, leadership, and commitment to advancing the accountancy profession. It is the highest honor awarded by ANAN and reflects not only technical expertise but also significant contributions to the development of Nigeria’s financial sector.
The ceremony, held amidst thousands of members, dignitaries, and distinguished guests, was presided over by Chief (Hajia) Zuwairat Talatu Kishimi, FCNA, President and Chairman of the Council of ANAN. Chief Kishimi administered the oath of allegiance to Senator Jibrin, formally inducting him into the fellowship.
“By the virtues of the powers conferred on me as the President and Chairman of the Council of this great association, the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), established under Act 76 of 1993 (CAP A 26 LFN, 2004), I hereby admit you into the fellowship of the association,” Chief Kishimi declared. “With this honor, you are entitled to add FCNA to your name. We are proud of your accomplishments and celebrate your exemplary dedication to the profession.”
In addition to the fellowship, Senator Barau I. Jibrin was also presented with a special award recognizing his outstanding leadership as Chairman of the association’s 30th Annual National Conference, a testament to his commitment to the advancement of professional standards and capacity building within the accounting sector.
In his remarks, Senator Jibrin expressed heartfelt gratitude to ANAN for the recognition.
