Deputy Senate President Senator Barau I. Jibrin Pays Condolence Visits Across Kano State.

Kano, Nigeria —In a solemn show of empathy and solidarity, the Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, paid condolence visits to prominent families in Kano State this evening. His visits were marked by deep compassion, heartfelt prayers, and words of encouragement to those mourning the loss of loved ones.
Senator Barau began his condolence tour at the residence of the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, in Fagge Local Government Area. He was there to sympathize with the Minister and his family over the passing of his mother-in-law, Hajiya Yaya Lami, a revered matriarch known for her humility, piety, and service to the community.
During the visit, the Deputy Senate President expressed his profound sorrow at the loss, describing it as a blow not just to the family but to the entire Fagge community and Kano State at large. He noted that Hajiya Yaya Lami was a woman of remarkable virtue who lived a life wholly devoted to the worship of Allah (SWT) and the betterment of those around her.
“She was not just a mother, but a beacon of guidance to many. Her contributions to her family and community will not be forgotten,” Senator Barau said, while offering prayers for her soul. “May Allah forgive her shortcomings, expand her grave, and admit her into Aljannah Firdausi.”
The Senator then proceeded to Tsanyawa Local Government Area to condole with Hon. Engineer Sani Bala Tsanyawa, the Federal House of Representatives member representing Ghari/Tsanyawa Constituency, over the death of his elder brother, Alhaji Umaru Bala Tsanyawa. Alhaji Umaru was remembered as a man of integrity, respected by many for his wisdom and sense of duty.
Senator Barau offered words of solace to the grieving family, encouraging them to find comfort in the legacy of goodness Alhaji Umaru left behind. He again prayed for Allah’s mercy upon the deceased and strength for the bereaved.
Completing his round of visits, Senator Barau stopped at the home of Alhaji Ali Yusuf (Al-Yuma) in Tarauni Local Government Area, where he sympathized with the family over the death of Hajiya Bilkisu Ali Yusuf, the daughter of Alhaji Ali Yusuf. He offered prayers and comfort, urging the family to remain steadfast in faith and hopeful in Allah’s promise of reunion in the hereafter.
“These losses are heavy, and I share in your grief,” the Deputy Senate President said. “May Allah comfort you, forgive the deceased, and grant them eternal peace.”
The visits underscore Senator Barau’s deep-rooted connection to his people, reflecting his humility and unwavering support for his constituents in both their moments of joy and grief. His presence brought comfort to the affected families and served as a reminder of the enduring value of empathy, unity, and community in times of sorrow.
