Deputy Senate President Senator Barau I. Jibrin Receives Kano State APC Councillorship Aspirants Forum

The Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, has received a high-powered delegation from the Kano State APC Councillorship Aspirants Forum, comprising vibrant youth leaders from the 484 wards across the 44 local government areas of the state. The forum, led by its chairman, Adamu Mukhtar Adamu Tarauni, represents aspirants who contested in the 2024 councillorship elections under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

During the visit, the delegation reaffirmed their unwavering support for Senator Barau and expressed deep appreciation for his numerous interventions and empowerment programs that have positively impacted party members and the people of Kano State. The forum commended the Deputy Senate President for his steadfast commitment to strengthening the APC and ensuring grassroots development through various initiatives.

In his remarks, Senator Barau Jibrin lauded the aspirants for their foresight, dedication, and contributions to the party’s growth at the grassroots level. He emphasized the vital role of youths in the political landscape, describing them as the future leaders who must be continuously encouraged and supported.

“Youths are the backbone of every democracy, and their involvement in governance is key to the progress of our great party and our nation. I want to assure you that you are part of the interventions and policies we are implementing, not only in Kano State but across the country. Your commitment to the APC and grassroots mobilization is commendable, and you are indeed part of the winning team,” Senator Barau stated.

The Deputy Senate President further reiterated his resolve to continue empowering the youth through strategic initiatives that would enhance their political participation and economic well-being. He assured them that their sacrifices and loyalty to the party would not go unnoticed, urging them to remain steadfast in their support for the APC’s leadership and developmental agenda.

The meeting ended on a positive note, with the delegation reaffirming their dedication to working with Senator Barau and the APC leadership to ensure the party’s continued success in Kano State and beyond.
