Development Association honors former National Assembly Member, Tajudeen Yusuf for a purposeful representation

The immediate past National Assembly member who represented Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives between 2011 to 2023, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Ayo Yusuf has been honored by Kabba Development Union (KDU) for his purposeful representation in the year under review, describing him as a worthy ambassador of the community.

The well packaged program which was held at the Kabba Civic Center that is under construction yesterday at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the development union, where the highly elated members of the community poured encomium on him for his impact that has reshaped the development landscape of the metropolis.

Speaking at the event, the President-General of the union, Engineer Emmanuel Ajibero said the developmental achievements of Hon TJ Yusuf in the federal constituency and particularly in Kabba land is monumental hence the leadership of union decided to honour him this year’s AGM meeting to show their appreciation since they don’t have money to give him, stressing that it is now they appreciated him most looking at what he was able to do for the community through the union.

He described his sagacious dexterity to always identify projects that are always beneficial to the community, hence he was not surprised when decided on his own volition to take up the construction of the Kabba Civic Center project that commenced in 2015 immediately after the Kabba Day FundRaising in 2014, noting that it is his efforts that have pushed the project to the present stage of completion.

He said the original design of the project included offices and a shopping mall but Hon TJ Yusuf only took up the Hall which is at the appreciable stage of completion, pointing out that despite losing his election into the Senate, the project did not stop.

The Obajemu of Oweland, Oba Michael Ibinaiye who spoke eloquently on the landmark achievements of Hon TJ Yusuf, assured him that very shortly his own time will come to represent the district at the upper chamber, praying that Kabba community being the leader of Okunland shall continue to maintain its position in moving the entire zone forward.

Others who spoke commended his representation while he held sway at the National Assembly urging him to join the ruling party for him to provide the much needed leadership for the political sector of the community.

The highly elated former of the National Assembly, Hon TJ Yusuf took his time to appreciate the leadership of the union, traditional rulers and the entire community for the opportunity given to him to represent the area for unbreakable twelve years at the National Assembly, stressing that it is a great privilege for him.

According to him, in or outside office he will continue to do his best for the overall development of the community, state and the country at large anytime the opportunity provides itself, enjoining the people of the community to continue to give their support for the overall development of the area.

He noted that his achievements across all sectors of the constituency which are verifiable were a result of his determination not to lower the standard of representation in the federal constituency, and promised that work will not stop on the civil center till it is completed in 2024.
