The Director-General of the National Productivity Centre (NPC), Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi, has commended Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for his strategic working visit to the Kano State Police Command Headquarters in Bompai, describing it as a timely and morale-boosting gesture that underscores the importance of collaboration in the fight against crime.
Governor Yusuf’s visit was aimed at commending the Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, and officers of the command for their professionalism, diligence, and swift response in arresting suspects linked to the brutal murder of a woman and her six children in Ciranchi, Kumbotso Local Government Area—an incident that shocked residents across the state.
Dr. Dan’agundi said the Governor’s decision to personally visit the command headquarters sends a powerful message of appreciation and encouragement to security personnel, noting that recognition from the highest level of leadership inspires greater commitment to duty.
“This kind of visit from the Governor will further motivate the police to put in more effort, knowing that their sacrifices and professionalism are recognized and appreciated at the highest level of leadership,” he stated.
The NPC Director-General further praised the leadership of CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, noting that since his assumption of office, Kano State has witnessed noticeable improvements in security and crime control. According to him, the impact of the Commissioner’s leadership is evident in both urban and rural communities, where peace and stability have been significantly strengthened.
Dr. Dan’agundi also lauded Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s leadership style, describing him as a humble, people-centered, and responsive leader who values consultation and constructive engagement.
“The Governor is a listening leader who places premium value on the opinions of the people and embraces constructive advice. His visit to the Police Headquarters is not merely symbolic; it is a clear demonstration of responsible, hands-on governance,” he said.
Emphasizing the need for sustained cooperation between government and security agencies, Dr. Dan’agundi noted that the Governor’s visit reflects a long-standing call for stronger institutional synergy in addressing security challenges.
He stressed that continuous collaboration between the Kano State Government and the Nigeria Police Force remains the most effective pathway to eliminating criminality and ensuring lasting peace across the state.
Dr. Dan’agundi expressed optimism that Governor Yusuf’s pledge to continue working closely with CP Bakori and other security stakeholders will further consolidate recent gains and move Kano State toward a safer, more secure future.
