DNN Award 2023: Vice Admiral Jibril Usman Dedicates his Lifetime Achievements Award to the people of Kogi State
A former Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) and the Governorship Candidate of the Accord Party in the November 11 Governorship election in Kogi state, Vice Admiral Jibril Usman has dedicated his recognition by Democracy Newsline Newspaper to God, the people of the state and the Nigerian Navy.
He disclosed this via his representative, Mohammad Jibril at the 13th annual lecture and Award Presentation of Democracy Newsline Newspaper held at National Merit House, Abuja during the week.
He commended the organizers for taking their time to recognize and honour deserving individuals and organizations who have in one way or another positively impacted society and pointed out that the time is now for Kogi state to move forward by electing credible individuals like him who have track records to be Governor of the state.
He said the election should not be a do-or-die affair as the people deserve peace for them to be able to go about their lawful endeavours. He appealed to the people of Kogi state to reject those who want to heat the polity and vote for the Accord Party that has good intentions of developing the state.
The retired Naval Chief said the Nigerian Navy made him who he is today, as such he also dedicates worthy recognition to the service that has modelled him into an accomplished military chief, stressing that he is glad to have passed through the service.
He noted that the award is a wake-up call for him to put more effort into the service of the state and humanity.
