Dr. Folabora Bryhm Mourns Loss of Media Icon Prof. Tom Adaba
Dr. Folabora Bryhm, the founder of the Dr. Folabora Bryhm Foundation, has mourned the passing of Professor Tom Adaba, a renowned broadcast expert, patriot, and distinguished son of Kogi State.
Prof. Adaba, who passed away at the age of 83, was a trailblazer in Nigeria’s media landscape and left an indelible mark on the field of journalism.
In his tribute, Dr. Bryhm highlighted Prof. Adaba’s tremendous contributions to the media industry, particularly in mass communication. He also highlighted some of his contributions. “His leadership and vision were pivotal during his tenure as the Principal of the Nigerian Television College, Jos, and as the inaugural Director General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), where he laid the foundation for ethical journalism and responsible broadcasting across Nigeria. He contributed immensely to our beloved Nation,” Dr. Bryhm said.
Dr. Bryhm further praised Prof. Adaba for his incredible achievements in media development, mentorship, community service, and philanthropy. “He left an enduring legacy in the Nigerian broadcast industry. His dedication and commitment to advancing journalism would forever inspire future generations.”
Dr. Bryhm concluded by extending heartfelt condolences to the Adaba family, friends, and the entire media community, urging them to remember Prof. Adaba’s contributions as a beacon of inspiration.
