DRY XMAS AWAITS POLITICAL APPOINTEES UNDER WADA ADMINISTRATION

From all indications, it is very possible that the Outstanding Salaries of political Appointees under the administration of Capt Idris Wada may NOT be PAID before Christmas.

Investigations has revealed that several appeals has gone to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to consider the PAYMENT of the outstanding salaries but the Governor is yet to make up his mind on it

Although hopes are high among members of the forum that the governor may have a change of mind and consider the Approval of the payment of the salaries before Christmas.

Some weeks ago, Governor Ododo and Former Governor Idris Wada met and the issue of the outstanding salaries of political Appointees under his tenure was well discussed. Governor Wada was said to have specifically pleaded with Governor Ododo to pay his Appointees after 9 years out of office and Governor Ododo was quoted as saying that “Your Excellency, Consider it Done”.

When the news of Governor Ododo’s acceptance to pay the outstanding salaries got to the ears of the members of the forum, they quickly went to town to announce a new name of TALK N DO for Governor Ododo.

Wether this XMAS will be celebrated with Empty Stomach or Not, will be determined by the decision of Governor Ododo in some couple of days to come.

All Ex-Appointees are depending so much on the money.

It will be recalled that before Governor Idris Wada left office 9 years ago, he was unable to completely pay his Appointees. The fact that every Government often inherit both ASSETS AND LIABILITIES, there was high hopes that the new administration of former Governor Yahaya Bello will pay all outstanding salaries of his predecessor but, LO and BEHOLD, Former Governor Yahaya Bello (FGYB) was only able to pay one month out of the three months with the promise that Governor Ododo will handle the remaining payment.

At this juncture, it is very important to mention the role played by the Forum of political Appointees under Wada administration in the victory of Ododo as Governor of Kogi State.

When Former Governor Yahaya Bello approved the payment of One month, the leadership of the forum directed her members to contribute money to support the election of ODODO-JOEL GOVERNORSHIP CAMPAIGN project.

All monies collected was judiciously utilized to support the election of the Governor. Campaign Souvenirs like POSTERS, APRONS, T-SHIRTS AND FAZ-CAPS were produced and distributed to the electorates across the State. In addition, giant campaign billboards was installed around the three Senatorial District to gather support for the governor.
