In a move aimed at enhancing the quality of education, the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, has distributed thousands of chairs and exercise books to primary, secondary, and Islamiyya schools across Shanono Local Government Area in Kano State.

The materials were distributed by Hon. Kamaludeen Ado Sidi Zugachi, Senior Legislative Assistant (SLA) to the Deputy Senate President. During the distribution ceremony, Hon. Zugachi described the gesture as a significant step towards addressing the shortage of essential educational materials in the area.

“This initiative reflects the Deputy Senate President’s unwavering commitment to uplifting education from the grassroots level,” said Hon. Zugachi. He emphasized that the donation is a response to the pressing need for adequate sitting materials and learning resources in schools.

The Education Secretary for Shanono Local Government, Alhaji Tukur Apolo, received the items on behalf of the schools and expressed gratitude for the intervention. “We commend the efforts of the Deputy Senate President for this thoughtful gesture. These materials will greatly enhance the learning environment and will be utilized judiciously,” he stated.

A representative of parents, speaking during the event, also appreciated the effort, noting that the donation came at a crucial time. “This support is timely and will significantly contribute to the educational development of our children,” the parent representative remarked.

The initiative is part of Senator Barau I. Jibrin’s broader efforts to address educational challenges in his constituency, reflecting his dedication to creating an enabling environment for learning and development.
