Eid al-Adha Message of Gratitude, Vision, and Renewed Commitment
From H.E. Amb. Aina Olusiji, Ph.D.
Director General,
Governance Delivery Unit,
Office of the Executive Governor, Kogi State.
As we mark the sacred season of Eid al-Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice, I extend my warmest greetings to all Muslim faithful across Kogi State, Nigeria, and the world.
May this holy celebration usher in renewed strength, peace, and divine abundance in every household.
Eid al-Adha is not just a ritual—it is a timeless lesson in submission, stewardship, and shared responsibility. It is a call to leadership driven by values and humility, to service rooted in truth and excellence.
“Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds.
— Qur’an 6:162
As citizens and leaders, what lessons do we extract from this solemn season?
Are we sacrificing selfish ambition for collective vision?
Are we serving with sincerity or seeking titles without transformation?
Let us recommit to the vision of a transformed and prosperous New Kogi State, where governance is not only measured by metrics, but by impact—where the citizen is at the center, and transparency is the cornerstone.
As a government, our resolve under the purposeful leadership of H.E. Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, FCA, is unshaken. We remain steadfast in executing the mandates of inclusive governance, infrastructure renewal, people-centered reforms, and sustainable progress across all sectors.
To our dear citizens—your patience, resilience, and contributions are not unnoticed. In this season of reflection, may Allah (SWT) reward you abundantly and multiply your efforts in peace, provision, and protection.
To our leaders across the nation, may this season bring wisdom for discernment, strength for duty, and humility for service. May we be guided by truth, inspired by the Prophet’s sacrifice, and driven by a common love for our great nation, Nigeria.
“The best of people are those who are most beneficial to others.”
— Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
Let us continue to:
* Serve with credibility, not convenience
* Build trust, not tension
* Encourage collaboration, not competition
* Promote truth, not tokenism
* Uphold integrity, not influence
* Inspire hope, not hardship
This Eid, may your prayers be accepted, your homes filled with peace, your path made prosperous, and your sacrifices rewarded with divine blessings. Ameen.
Eid Mubarak!
God bless Kogi State.
God bless Okunland
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
