Eid-el-Kabir: Amb. Gabriel Abinu Congratulates Gov. Ododo, Maigari of Lokoja, Calls for Unity and Peace
As Muslims across the nation mark this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, renowned philanthropist and community leader, Ambassador Gabriel Abinu, has extended warm felicitations to the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikafi IV, and all Nigerians.
In a personally signed statement issued on Friday, Amb. Abinu urged Nigerians to use the occasion to demonstrate love, compassion, and unity, regardless of religious or ethnic background.
“This season is a time of reflection, sacrifice, and love. Let us show kindness to one another and promote peace across our communities,” he said. “Eid-el-Kabir is not only about celebration but also about giving back to the less privileged, which is the true spirit of the festival.”
He also commended the Muslim community in Kogi State for their unwavering support, prayers, and sacrifices toward the growth and stability of the state.
Amb. Abinu praised Governor Ododo for what he described as visible and impactful strides in the state’s development.
“Governor Ododo’s achievements are evident everywhere — even the blind can feel the positive changes taking place. He has shown true leadership and commitment to the welfare of Kogi citizens,” he stated.
The philanthropist further emphasized the need for continued peaceful coexistence among Nigeria’s diverse population. “No meaningful progress can be achieved without peace. I call on all Nigerians, especially the youth, to embrace tolerance and dialogue in resolving differences,” he added.
Ambassador Abinu’s message joins other voices across the nation calling for unity and renewed commitment to nation-building during the sacred celebration.
