Eid-el-Kabir: Sen. Sunday Karimi Distributes 400 Rams, Cows to Muslims in Kogi West, Salutes Constituents’ Support

The Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District and All Progressives Congress candidate for the 2027 general election, Sen. Sunday Karimi, has distributed 400 rams and several cows to Muslim faithful across the seven local government areas of the district ahead of Eid-el-Kabir.

The gesture, aimed at supporting constituents during the celebration, was carried out through party structures and community leaders in Kabba/Bunu, Ijumu, Kogi/Koton Karfe, Lokoja, Mopa-Muro, Yagba East, and Yagba West.

Speaking during the distribution, Sen. Karimi described Eid-el-Kabir as a celebration of sacrifice and faith. He said the occasion reinforced his commitment to selfless service to the people of Kogi West.

“I reiterate my sacrifice to serving you selflessly. The mandate you have reposed in me at the primary is unshakable, and I do not take it for granted,” he said.

The Senator thanked the people of Kogi West for standing by him “through thick and thin,” noting that their prayers, support, and trust had been his greatest motivation. He assured constituents that better days lay ahead under his representation.

“We are working tirelessly to sustain the tempo of development and go even beyond it before the end of this tenure. The people of Kogi West deserve more, and that is what we are committed to delivering,” he added.

Karimi also expressed gratitude to APC members in the district for voting massively for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the last presidential primary, describing it as a demonstration of loyalty and belief in the Renewed Hope agenda.

He urged the people to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir with moderation and urged patience amid current economic challenges. He expressed confidence in President Tinubu’s ability to address national issues, saying the results of ongoing reforms would soon be “loud, visible, and verifiable.”

“While times may be challenging, I am confident that with steady leadership and your continued prayers, the future holds greater opportunities for our people,” Karimi said. “On behalf of my family, I felicitate with all Muslim faithful in Kogi West and pray that Almighty Allah accepts our sacrifices and grants us peace, progress, and prosperity.”
