The Executive Chairman of Gwagwalada Area Council, Federal Capital Territory (FCT),Abuja, Honourable Abubakar Jibril Giri ,has felicitated with Muslims on the Occasion of the 2025, Eid-el -Kabir Salah Celebration.
Hon. Abubakar Giri, enjoined Muslims to demonstrate the Sacrificial disposition of Prophet Ibrahim in their daily living, adding that Godliness, brotherliness and Selflessness aught to be the Hallmark of every Muslim.

The Council Boss who disclosed this to the press at the Giri junction Eid prayer ground, a Suburb of the federal Capital Territory, further Called on Residents to work towards ensuring peaceful and harmonious Coexistence in the Area Council, emphasizing the inseparability of peace and development, further Promising to Sustain the Crime free atmosphere already witnessed in the Area Council.
He pointed out that peace was key to the developmental pursuits of any given Society, and that his administration since inception has priotised peaceful and harmonious Coexistence and the Security of lives and Properties, so that the Area Council Could make Meaningful Progress, he added.
Commenting on the forthcoming primary elections, ahead of the 2026 Federal Capital Territory Councils Elections, Hon. Abubakar Giri Said the National body of the Party were already working hard to agree on Consensus to avoid post election Crisis,adding that an individual Could only be recognized as aspirant if he or she obtains the nomination form of his political party.
He also used the opportunity to warn Herdsmen domicile in the Areas Council to desist from tendencies that Could provoke their host Communities, actions like encroaching and destroying farms of persons wouldn’t be Condoned.
