Eke Emerges Ebonyi State Senior Comrades Forum Chairman
A former Publicity Secretary of Ebonyi State Senior Comrades Forum, Comrade Afam Eke has emerged the new chairman of the forum.
Declaring the result of the election in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, the chairman of the Electoral Committee, Comrade Christian Ugadu announced that Eke scored 26 votes to defeat his challenger, Comrade Chinedu Nwuze who scored one vote, while Comrade Michael Mgbada got zero vote.
Ugadu noted that the election was successful, transparent and smooth.
Other executive elected include: Dr. Chukwu Umahi,Vice Chairman; Ibeh Immaculata as Secretary General; Barr. Otubo Godwinas Treasurer and Nwankwo Fidelis as Financial Secretary.
In his acceptance speech, the new chairman promised to harness all potentials for the growth and betterment of the forum and the State.
“I thank the members of the forum for this trust and promise to harness the rich resources within the forum the visions and mission of the forum for the benefit of all members and our dear state”.
“We shall also pull our resources in supporting the governments to achieve their goals as encapsulated in the Peoples charter of Needs. I promise never to betray this trust as I call on all to close ranks with us to move the forum to its desired place and status, Comrade Eke said.
