Elder Emmanuel Oshatuyi to Receive Community Development Services Award

Elder Emmanuel Oshatuyi, President of the Omodo Family in Kabba (Owe), is set to be honored with the prestigious Community Development Services Award by Democracy Newsline Newspaper. According to Apostle Olalekan Aiyenigba, Executive Editor of Democracy Newsline Newspaper, Elder Oshatuyi’s tireless efforts and commitment to the development of Oweland and his community of residents in Lagos State have earned him this recognition.
The award will be presented during the 15th Public Lecture and Award Ceremony, scheduled to hold on August 26, 2025, at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja. The event will feature a red carpet ceremony at 5 pm, followed by the main program at 6 pm, and a dinner reception.
The theme of the event is “The Role of Independent Media Organizations in Promoting Participatory Democracy and Good Governance in Nigeria.” The ceremony will feature guest speakers and key stakeholders from various sectors, providing a platform for insightful discussions and networking.
Additionally, the occasion will mark the launch of a ₦100 million fund for the procurement of podcast studio equipment and the establishment of Democracy Newsline Newspaper Online Television. This initiative aims to enhance the newspaper’s digital presence and provide a platform for multimedia content that engages and informs the public.
