Eminent Nigerians Pay Last Respect to Late Hon. Ogundairo
Eminent Nigerians paid their last respect by attending the fidau for the repose of the soul of the former National Assembly member, Commissioner for Agriculture and Water Resources in Kwara State and former President of Afon District Union, Alhaji Saadudeen Ogundairo, who died last Monday.
Among the dignitaries who attended the fidau held in Odo- Ode in Asa Local Government Area, were former members of House of Representatives, Alhaji Folorunsho Ayinla, Alhaji Yekini Alajagusi, the chairman of the Kwara State Universal Basic Education,Professor Shehu Adaramaja,former Attorney General and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Barrister Salman Jawondo, former Bishop of Lagos Midland Diocese Bishop Kolawole Abimbola, serving and former members of the state House of Assembly, current and past chairmen of Asa Local Government Council, former members of the state Executive Council,Traditional Rulers, Community, Opinion and Religious Leaders, members of the academia, Politicians, Technocrats, women Leaders, Associates and member of Afon District Union.
Speaking at the fidau, two Islamic Scholars, Ustaz Abdul Ganiyy Sakamo and Alfa Yahaya Babatunde, charged Muslims to always see death as a necessary end of all mankind, saying that whatever done on earth would be accounted before Allah on the day of resurrection.
They described Alhaji Ogundairo, as a kind hearted, honest and God fearing person, who used his endowment towards serving Allah and his people.
The Chief Imam of Afon Alhaji Muhammed Nuhu Ayodele had earlier led other Islamic scholars in prayer for the reposed of his soul.
Alhaji Ogundairo born in 1934 in Odo- Ode bagged his first and second degrees in English Language from Ohio State University in the United States of America.
