Engr. Emmanuel Ajibero Receives Community Leadership Award from Democracy Newsline Newspaper
Engr. Emmanuel Ajibero, the President-General of the Kabba Development Union and a retired petrochemical engineer with Chevron Nigeria, has been honored with the prestigious 2024 Community Leadership Award by Democracy Newsline Newspaper.
The award presentation took place at the Banquet Hall of the Merit House Maitama, Abuja, during a well-attended public lecture to mark the fourteen-year anniversary of the media outfit and the sixty-four-year anniversary of Nigeria’s political independence.
Chief Olugbemi Femi, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Michabifem Ventures Limited, the publisher of Democracy Newsline/blog, highlighted the significance of the event as a platform to recognize and appreciate the outstanding achievements and contributions of individuals and organizations across various fields.
During the event, Dr. Tunde Arosoyin, the National Coordinator of Zero Hunger Nigeria, emphasized the crucial role of social media in the development of the agriculture sector, underscoring the need for Nigerians to embrace mechanized farming to address food supply chain challenges.
Additionally, Comrade Bala Ibrahim spoke about the public perception of leaders in Nigeria, urging those in influential roles to act with utmost care to preserve public trust and confidence.
The President-General of the Kabba Development Union commended the organizers for acknowledging individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of their respective sectors, and he specifically lauded Chief Olugbemi Femi for his consistent pursuit of the public good.
Other recipients of special recognition awards included prominent figures such as H.E. Hon. Mohammed Umaru Bago, Niger State Governor, and Hon. Leke Abejide, House Committee Chairman on Customs and Excises, among others.
