Engr. M.K. Taylor, Chief Executive Officer of Dlegendary Energy Solar Company, has been honoured with the Most Responsible Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2026 Award by Democracy Newsline Newspaper.

The award was presented at the newspaper’s 16th Anniversary and Awards Ceremony held in Abuja. The organisers recognised Engr. Taylor for his outstanding leadership in Nigeria’s renewable energy sector, his commitment to sustainable development, and his role in creating jobs for young people.
According to the organisers, Dlegendary Energy Solar Company was singled out for its innovative solar solutions that are expanding access to clean and affordable energy, particularly in underserved communities.
In his acceptance remarks, Engr. Taylor dedicated the award to the staff of Dlegendary Energy and to Nigerian youths driving change in the green economy.
“This honour belongs to our team and to every young Nigerian who believes we can power our future with clean energy. We remain committed to building responsible businesses that create jobs and solve real problems,” he stated.
The award highlights the growing impact of young entrepreneurs in tackling energy challenges and advancing Nigeria’s transition to renewable energy.
