Eseyin Urges Nigerians to Renew Hope, Unity as Nigeria Marks 66th Independence Anniversary
Hon. Oluwakayode Eseyin, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Kabba-Bunu State Constituency I, has called on Nigerians to renew their commitment to national unity, peace, good governance and the development of the country as Nigeria celebrates its 66th Independence Anniversary.
Eseyin, in his Independence Day message, congratulated Nigerians at home and abroad on the anniversary, describing the occasion as an opportunity to reflect on the nation’s journey since independence and recommit to building a better Nigeria for present and future generations.
He acknowledged the challenges confronting the country, including economic hardship, unemployment, insecurity and the rising cost of living, but urged citizens not to lose hope in the Nigerian project.
According to him, the strength of Nigeria lies in the resilience, creativity and determination of its people, stressing that the country’s diversity should remain a source of strength rather than division.
The PDP candidate also called for greater attention to the welfare of ordinary Nigerians, particularly youths, women, farmers, students and vulnerable members of society.
He said sustainable development could only be achieved through responsible leadership, accountability, inclusive governance and meaningful participation of citizens in the democratic process.
Eseyin urged political leaders across all levels to place the interests of the people above personal and partisan considerations, noting that elected representatives have a responsibility to provide effective representation and contribute to the development of their communities.
He further appealed to the people of Kabba-Bunu State Constituency I to continue to support peaceful coexistence, unity and community development, regardless of political affiliation, ethnic or religious differences.
“As we celebrate our 66th Independence Anniversary, let us renew our hope in Nigeria and remain committed to the ideals of democracy, justice, peace and progress. The Nigeria we desire is possible if we all play our part,” he said.
Eseyin expressed optimism that with collective determination, purposeful leadership and active citizenship, Nigeria would overcome its present challenges and emerge stronger and more prosperous.
He wished Nigerians a peaceful and memorable 66th Independence Anniversary and prayed for continued peace, stability and prosperity across the country.
