Ex-Chairman, Kabba-Bunu, Moses Olorunleke Eulogizes Gov. Usman Ododo, Bags Chieftaincy Title as the Oba Bori of Idoyi-Bunu Community
Moses Olorunleke, the former Chairman of Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area, has eulogized Governor Usman Ododo on his landmark achievements in Kabba-Bunu in particular and the state at large.
The former chairman who is currently the Special Adviser to the Kogi State Government on Security Matters covering Kogi West Senatorial District disclosed this while appreciating the Oba-in-Council of Idoyi Bunu community where he was bestowed with a Honorary Chieftaincy title as the Oba Bori of Idoyi land.

According to him, he will ever remain grateful to former Governor Yahaya Bello who gave him the opportunity to serve in the capacity of a local government chairman for seven years despite many people never thought such could happen.
He urged the people of the community to continue to support and cooperate with the administration in the state, stressing that the current administration of Governor Usman Ododo is out to continue and consolidate on the good works of the “New Direction” administration.
He dedicated the Chieftaincy title to both Former Governor Yahaya Bello and Governor Usman Ododo for believing in his ability and capacity to serve the state.
Earlier, His Royal Highness, Oba John Adekunle Oloniyo, the Oba of Idoyi Bunu community used the occasion to appreciate former Governor Yahaya Bello on behalf of the entire Bunu Traditional Council for recognizing and grading all the traditional rulers in Bunuland before he left off in 2024.
He said the singular gesture of their recognitions has repositioned their communities for effective and efficient administration within their domains, pointing out that all the beneficiaries of the grading will remain grateful.
The monarch further said it has become expedient for the Oba-in-Council under his leadership to recognize and honor Hon. Moses Olorunleke, for his monumental achievements during his tenure as the Executive Chairman of Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area, stressing that his dedication to public service and contributions to the development of the area is greatly appreciated.
“His commitment to serving the people of Kabba-Bunu has earned him admiration and appreciation, pointed out that his leadership was marked with wise decision-making that truly benefited the local government area”
He also noted that the former Chairman promoted unity and cooperation among the people of the local government, fostering a sense of community.
Meanwhile Oba John Adekunle Oloniyo had his coronation ceremony today at Idoyi Bunu Community.
The member representing Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Idris Salman and other dignitaries from all walks of life were in attendance to honor the monarch and community.
