Ex-Speaker, Prince Matthew Kolawole Rejoices with Engr. Babs Omotowa and Professor Nasir Abdulsalam on their Appointments, says Okunland is grateful to President Bola Tinubu
The immediate past Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly and international business mogul, Prince Matthew Kolawole has congratulated Engr. Babs Omotowa and Professor Nasir Abdulsalam on their appointments by President Tinubu as None-Executive Director, NNPCL Board and Managing Director, Ajaokuta Steel Company Limited respectively.
The APC Chieftain disclosed this in a message made available to newsmen on Saturday in Abuja, described the appointments as a welcome development.
He noted that the recognition acknowledges the significant contributions of Engr. Babs and Professor Nasir have made in their respective professional fields of endeavors, pointed out that Okunland will continue to be grateful to President Bola Tinubu for the well deserved recognition.
However, Engr. Babs Omotowa, is a renowned figure in the oil and gas industry, that has put in an illustrious career spanning over 27 years in the industry.
Engr. Omotowa has held various leadership positions, including Managing Director of Nigeria LNG and Vice President of Shell Global Upstream E&P His achievements include securing $1.6 billion for NLNG to construct six modern LNG ships and earning $40 billion in revenue during his tenure.
While he noted that Professor NASIR Abdulsalam is not new in the steel sector having served as the Technical Adviser to the Honourable Minister of Steel Development as well as the Special Assistant (Academics) to Director General of National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Kolawole acknowledged his wealth of experience and expertise to reposition Ajaokuta Steel Company Limited to fullfil its core mandates to the national growth.
Professor Nasir Abdulsalam Naeem is a renowned Nigerian academic and researcher, specializing in Geophysics. He is a Professor at the University of Abuja, Nigeria, with a focus on aeromagnetic surveys, environmental geophysics, and oil and gas exploration.
Professor Naeem has made significant contributions to his field, with over 100 citations to his research work.
He has also collaborated with other scholars on various projects, including the delineation of mineralized zones in parts of the University of Abuja.
