EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF JOS EAST LEADS OTHER DIGNITARIES AS NYAM YOHANNA HONOURS GOD IN THANKSGIVING

— It was celebration galore, testimonies and thanksgiving as Nyam Yohanna, popularly known as _“MC Abuja Boy”_, hosted a cream of society at the Catholic Church, Fobur, in Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The event was a unique thanksgiving to God Almighty for His blessings and for life, particularly for Yohanna’s recent graduation from Plateau State University, Bokkos, where he bagged a B.Sc in Political Science.
Nyam is also a staff member of the same institution.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of Jos East Local Government Area, Hon. Markus Nyam Hussaini, who was flanked by his appointees including his Chief of Staff, elected and supervisory councillors, and Special Advisers, showered encomiums on the celebrant.
He commended Yohanna for his kind heart in returning glory to the Lord for the blessings upon his life.
_“Some lepers were healed but only one of them returned with thanksgiving to the Lord. If you want to grow in life, always show appreciation to those who help you,”_ the Chairman said.
He also commended his appointees, particularly his Chief of Staff, whom he described as the most dedicated and loyal.
According to the Chairman, politics should not divide the people.
He further reiterated his loyalty to Governor Caleb Mutfwang and Rt. Hon. Abok Ayuba.
_“Apart from the Governor, nobody will separate me from Hon. Abok Ayuba,”_ the Chairman said, _“because of what he has done for me in my life.”_
In his address, Hon. Danjuma Azi, former member of the Plateau State House of Assembly and Liaison Officer to the Governor of Plateau State, who is also the APC candidate for Jos North West State Constituency, commended Nyam Yohanna for his giant strides.
He also appreciated God and the Local Government Chairman for curbing the menace of kidnapping in the locality.
The parliamentarian expressed joy over the promotion of the Izere dialect by the Church, noting that the second reading was conducted in Izere. He urged the Church to sustain it and called on others to emulate the gesture.
In his exhortation, the Clergy in charge of the Church urged the celebrant to always trust in God.
“Your certificate may earn you a position, but integrity will earn you a future. No matter your position, if you lack integrity, it is useless. Continue learning and growing,”he said.
The Cleric further stated that graduation is not the end of education.
_“God created you for a purpose. Be yourself, be humble, open your heart and learn more. There is no hurry in life. Whatever plan God has for you shall come to pass,”_ he said.
He commended the family of the celebrant for raising him well, adding that his education shall be a blessing to his family, church and community.
Earlier in his appreciation, the celebrant, Nyam Yohanna, who could not hold back tears, appreciated God, his family, church and numerous individuals who have touched his life in one way or another.
He particularly mentioned late Professor Yahana Daniel Izam, saying:
_“He gave me a job and admission simultaneously despite our party differences. I have never disrespected him because of what he did for me.”_
He also thanked Hon. Bitrus Kaze and Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos for paying his tuition fees.
Other dignitaries who graced the occasion include Associate Professor Shehu Alade, Librarian of Plateau State University, Bokkos, as well as friends, associates, family members, colleagues and well-wishers from within and outside the state.
Highlights of the event included music performances by the famous _Arin Izere_ and other church groups, and a special offering in support of the celebrant to complete the church roofing.
Guests were later entertained.
