Federal Lawmaker, Leke Abejide Empowers Constituents, Distributes Foods Stuff.

Elder Leke Abejide, Member Representing Yagba Federal Constituency (YFC) in Federal House of Representative has flagged off and distributed empowerment facilities and food stuffs to his constituents.

Abejide who is a second termer under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is well known for this kind of gestures; distributing work tools, implements and infrastructural development expressed that he won’t get tired ensuring the economic well-being of his constituency and constituents.
Abejide who was also the Gubernatorial Candidate of the ADC in the Kogi State November 2023 Governorship Election said part of his plans is ensure zero hunger in his Constituency. Abejide seeks to achieve that via continuing his usual periodic economic and jobs empowerment, and also by distribution of food materials.
Abejide made a remark earlier in his speech, chides mischief makers and political opponents, caution them from being petty for mere political selfishness and to score cheap political points.
He said rumors were peddled sometimes ago that the Presidency disbursed food items to National Assembly Members to distribute to their Constituents during 2023 Christmas. He emphasized that it is not true, giving true story of exactly what happened, he said;
“One of my Colleagues who was eyeing Governorship Ticket of Edo State under the platform of APC went on air during Christmas that President Bola Tinubu gave Senators and Members of House of Representatives which was not true. What Federal Government did was giving awards of contracts to companies to supply food palliatives to Senatorial Districts and Federal Constituencies but as at today the contractor handling Yagba Federal Constituency has not been paid but supplied the food items we are distributing today”.
Part of the items distributed are vehicles (cars, tricycle and motorcycles) for business empowerment for Women, Men and Youths; skills empowerment tools and implement includes; sewing machine, hair drying machines, welding tools, grinding machines, etc …
Over 1,000 bags each of rice and beans were also distributed among Yagba People, the Yagba Islamic Community were given special consideration due to the ongoing Ramadan Fasting. The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) also got their portion of the food items. Each political wards, villages, towns, Local Governments got their share of the food stuffs in adequate quantities.
Yagba people expressed appreciation; singing, dancing, jubilating; and praying for Leke Abejide.
