Fidelis Bello Officially decamps to APC at the ward level

The former Majority Leader in the Kabba-Bunu Legislative Council, Hon Fidelis Bello (O-Bello) yesterday, 28th October, 2023 officially decamped to the All Progressives Congress at his Aiyewa ward in the Kabba district of the local government.
According to him, the decision to leave his former party, the main opposition People’s Democratic Party and align with the governing party in the state is not personal but for the collective interest of the community.
He noted that it has been a long time since the APC has been lobbying him but he now sees reasons to join the party, considering the newly established Kogi State University in Kabba.
He added that he plays politics for the development of his people and community, and promised to work with the party stakeholders in the ward and local government to deliver Ododo/Joel come November 11 governorship election.
He appealed to the stakeholders to see him as one of them, noting that when the university fully commences the benefits are for the development of the community and the entire zone around Kabba will have an economic reshape.
While welcoming him into the progressive fold, Chief Adegboyega Aka, who is the leader of the ward, assured him of the maximum cooperation of the stakeholders for the party to achieve great success in the election.
He said joining the party would be a plus to them and urged others who are still out there to join the party as the time of grace may soon be over.
The Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Wemi Jones commended his bold step to join the party at this critical time and urged him to make his presence felt in the victory of Ododo on November 11.
Present at the event are, Hon Bode Adeyemi, Hon Aiyeditan Emmanuel (Ward Councillor),Hon Jagun Olakunle, chairman of the ward, Pst. Matthew Iseolorunkomi, and other ward executives and stakeholders of Aiyewa ward.
