Former DG NPC, Dr Kashim Akor Partners NPC Distribute Free Renewed Hope Fertilizers in Kogi

The Former Director General, National Productivity Center,NPC ,Dr Kashim Akor NPOM, FNIM has asked the people of Kogi state and the country at large to return to full scale farming as panacea to economic downturn.
He made the remarks in Ankpa town during the distribution of free Renewed Hope Fertilizers in Kogi East to achieve bumper harvest, attract more attention to dry season farming and in preparation for the rainy season.
According to the former Director General, the need for provision of farm inputs wish includes fertilizers cannot be overemphasized.
He said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Alhaji Usman Ododo, Kogi state governor encouraged agriculture through both peasant, subsistence and mechanised farming in the country, that brought down coat of living in the country and Kogi State.
He urge Nigerians to go into farming at all level and encourage farmers to sustain the tempo.
Dr Kashim Akor maintained that the fertilizer are not for sale , but for farming to improve and assist the farmers in all seasons.
While promising to continue to encourage farmers , he stated that farming enables bumper harvest, and on the long run improve the economy of the country and Gross Domestic Product GDP.
Earlier , The Local Government Chairman, Engr Ahmed Sanni appreciated the kind gesture and supports of the former Director General in all areas , which included security, grants, agriculture and among many others .
The Executive Chairman was represented by the Director of the local government, Alhaji Shaibu Ahmed Usman.
Also speaking at the occasion , the Head of Department, Agriculture, Ankpa local government, Mrs Ladi Iyanda said the NPK 15-15-15 is the best product among the fertilizers and can be used in all a seasons.
She enjoined them to guided on the usage and not misapplied or misused when applying to the farms.
She appealed to farmers to take advantage of the products, and not to sell them , while congratulating Dr Kashim Akor for his philanthropy and concern for the people.
Highlights of the occasion included the distribution of 500 bags of fertilizers to the beneficiaries.
