Former Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mathew Olushola Kolawole, Sympathizes with the Obaro of Kabba Over the Passing of Olori Maria Ige Owoniyi
The immediate past Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mathew Olushola Kolawole (Yomikola), has expressed his deep condolences to the Obaro of Kabba, Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi, on the painful loss of his beloved wife, Olori Maria Ige Owoniyi.
In a heartfelt message of sympathy, Rt. Hon. Kolawole described Olori Maria as a woman of immense grace, wisdom, and compassion, whose death is a monumental loss not only to the Owoniyi family but to the entire Kabba Kingdom.
He acknowledged her unwavering dedication to the welfare of her people and praised her significant contributions to the unity and development of her community.
Olori Maria Ige Owoniyi was an epitome of love, strength, and service to humanity, Rt. Hon. Kolawole remarked. “Her presence in the Kabba Kingdom was a source of inspiration and hope to many, and her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her. The Kabba community, and indeed the entire state, has lost a true matriarch.
The former Speaker further expressed his solidarity with Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi, offering prayers for comfort and strength during this difficult time. He emphasized that Olori Maria’s legacy of compassion, leadership, and selflessness would continue to inspire those she left behind.
May the almighty grant Oba Solomon and the entire Owoniyi family the strength to bear this great loss, Rt. Hon. Kolawole said. Olori Maria’s legacy will continue to live on through the lives she touched and the example she set as a loving mother, wife, and leader.
