GOOD GOVERNANCE: SPECIAL ADVISERS FORUM TO KOGI GOVERNOR SECURES REINSTATEMENT OF FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE OFFICE IN LOKOJA DURING WORKING VISIT TO CGF

Appeals for Federal Fire Service Training School in Kogi State…

Owing to the visit of the Forum of Special Advisers to Kogi State Governor, Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo and passionate appeals by the Forum for immediate reinstatement of the Federal Fire Service Operations in Lokoja, the Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, CGF Samuel Onimode Adeyemi has announced the readiness and immediate reinstatement of the the service office in Lokoja for emergency services needs.

The assurance came after a formal appeal made by the Chairman of Forum of Special Advisers to the Governor, Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi in his speech during the official working visit to the Federal Fire Service as part of the objectives of the Forum to identify with Kogi Sons and Daughters who are heads of Federal government agencies with a view to establishing inter agency synergy to drive development and good governance in Kogi State.

While making his speech, Chairman of the Forum, Omoluabi says another reason for the tour of Kogi Ambassadors at Federal government level is to present the good governance strides of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to the elites with the expectation that they use their vintage positions to support the Governor and government to succeed.

He made another request for the Federal Fire Service to establish Fire Service Institute in Kogi State as a legacy for his name and reward to the state for producing a Controller General like several service Chiefs of done in the past. Omoluabi argued that the agency is so important to security of lives and props that it requires such institutions to perform better and meet the demand of present day realities.

While responding, the Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, CGF Samuel Olumode commended the forum for such a timely, patriotic and result driven visit. He described the forum as the first group or individual he would receive on official visit in his new office. CGF Onimode described the action and intention of the forum as noble, commendable and thoughtful. He said Governor Usman Ododo has not made mistakes in the appointment of Special Advisers which is the reason for this patriotic tour of Kogi sons and daughters.

The Controller General describes Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo as a benefactor whose kindness and support aided his emergence. He said the Governor is a humble leader who is passionate about the development of his people. He declares his readiness, availability and joy to collaborate with Kogi State government in any form. While responding in the demand for a Federal Fire Service office in Lokoja, the CGF recalled the unfortunate incident that led to the transfer of Lokoja office to Ajaokuta, but made immediate approval for new office for Lokoja immediate, he said his approval is due to the appeals from the forum and the honor of the visit.

On the Federal Fire Service Training Institute, the CGF recalled that the organization has six existing Federal Fire Institutes but assured that in his time, Kogi will have another institution of the agency.

While talking about the giant strides of the Governor Ahmed Usman Ofodo led administration, former Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists in Abuja and current Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Communications, Chief Jacob Edi says the Governor came on board as an experienced member of the team who understands what to do and has employed the strategy of humility to run an administration that is delivering good governance in the state
