Gov. Bello Deposed 3 Kings, Suspend 1 others
….Announce New Maigari of Lokoja, Ohinoyi of Egbira land, Ohimege of Koto
Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has deposed three traditional ruler in the state, as well as suspended another one.
The deposed kings were queried immediately after the last year Novembers 12 governorship election for being political and openly sympathetic to oppositions parties leading to break down of law and insecurity in their domains.
Top on the lists of the deposed kings was the Ohimege of Kotonkarfe, Isa Koto; and the Olu of Mango, Sam Bola.
In Koto, Former state commissioner for Water Resources, Salih Akawu was announced as the new Ohimege of Koto, while Alhaji Gambo Makaifi (4th) was announced as the Maigari of Lokoja, while Ohi of Okengwe was announced as the new Ohinoyi of Egbira land.
While the Ojogba of Ife, in Abejukolo area of Omala Council area of the state was suspended indefinitely.
The deposed kings were banished to Niger state.
