Gov. Bello to commence the PDP abandoned Projects in Bassa Land…….
Says Oguma-Sheria Bridge inclusive – Hon. Samson Bako

Kogi State Commissioner for Works and Housing Hon. Samson Bako yesterday in Oguma the Bassa Local Government Headquarters assured the people of Bassa the readiness of the Kogi State Government to commence the construction of the abandoned 16 kilometres Odenyi- Oguma- Sheria road by the past PDP administration.
Hon. Bako who according to the directives of His Excellency Gov. Yahaya Adoza Bello went to assess the situation of Odenyi-Oguma-sheria road revealed that Gov. Bello would not play politics with infrastructural development of the State.
In his word, “we are here based on the directive of His Excellency Gov. Yahaya Adoza Bello to come and see the situation of Odenyi-Oguma-Sheria road and the bridge ourselves, to see the level of work done by the contractor befor the job was abandoned and now we have come and we have seen and we will report back to His Excellency for immediate action”
Revealing the economic impact of the road if completed, Bako added that if the road was fully constructed and the bridge wss done, more than 20 communities would be directly exposed to economic development and agricultural activities would be enhanced.
In the same development, the Director of Civil Engineering, Engr Akubo Hassan noted that all the abandoned pre-cast elements would be subjected to an integrity test before it could be used.
The site supervisor representing Vanguard Construction Company Ltd Emmanuel Enoh, thanked Kogi State Government for the considerationn and promised to execute a job that could meet the taste of Gov. Yahaya Adoza Bello.
Mr Rizama Sheneni on behalf of the community appealed to Gov. Yahaya Bello to expedite action on the bridge so that their Agric produce would not suffer setback like the previous years, stressing that the natively made collapsed bridge has separated them from their farm.
Rizama also thanked the Governor for coming to the aid of his people at this critical time of their economic Life.
