Gov Ododo has made strategic and massive infrastructural and educational investments in Kabba, promoting economic renaissance—— Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi

The Special Adviser to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on Energy Matters and Chairman of Forum of Special Advisers in Kogi State, Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi has described Governor Ododo’s investment in educational and ecological development in Kabba as unprecedented, development driven and worthy of commendation. Omoluabi made the remarks while making a speech a the recently held Kabba Community APC Stakeholders Meeting that was held at the Lisa Palm Hotel, Kabba.
The Special Adviser in his speech says the construction of the University Senate building, Fqculty of Science, Male and Female Hostels that will gulp well over ten billion naira(10b) is an unmistakable commitment of the Ododo administration to building the Kogi State University to an enviable heights in his administration. Stating that investing such humongous amount in the university is a direct way to promote the local economy and set the community up for massive growth and development.
Hon Bode Adeyemi says Governor Ododo who is an unrepentant lover of quality education is leaving no stone unturned to give the university accelerated development for educational prosperity of the state. He also listed the free education system in kogi and payment of all external exterminations fees making access to education equal to the child of both the rich and the poor, while praising the Governor for his egalitarian style of leadership. He said the implementation of free JAMB, WAEC, NECO, JSSCE and BESCE have assisted almost every household in payment of huge sums as examination fees.
On the ongoing Omigbo and Kabba generation erosion and ecological interventions, the Special Adviser said the Governor through the Acresal initiative under the Ministry of Environment and Ecological Matters have made noticeable and hard to be forgotten ecological infrastructure through channeling of erosion, creation of pathways and drainages that have turned the community around in no small means. He said the project which costs over nine billion (9bn) clearly demonstrates the level of attention the ancient city have received under the immediate past and current administration.
The Special Adviser spoke about healthcare delivery system as another area the administration is making giant strides that are directly impacting the community. Hon Adeyemi praised the Governor for his Civil Service friendliness,regular payment of salaries and increasing the minimum wage even beyond the Federal Government minimum wage. He also said that appointing three Kabbba indigenes as Permanent Secretaries under the ODODO administration is a unique recognition that we’re hitherto impossible.
The occasion which was well attended emphasized on promoting the good governance experience under the APC administration and also had stakeholders discuss unity, development and progress of the community. Among the attendees were the LGA Chairman, Barr Dare Zacheous, APC Kogi state stalwart, Elder Ben Olowodola, former Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Mathew Kolawole, former House of Assembly Members, Hon Jethro Funsho Oni, Hon Alfred Bello, former LGA Chairmen, Engr SB Bello, Hon Funsho Olorunfemi, Barr Fadile, Hon Ogbonikan, Senior government functionaries, party leaders and several other stakeholders were in attendance
