Gov. Ododo receives 1530 Corp members to Kogi, charges them on
hopes, aspirations of Nigeria
Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has received 1530 batch B 2024 stream two National Youth Service Corp, (NYSC) Members deployed to Kogi State with a charge for them to fulfil the hopes and aspirations of their Father land Nigeria.
Addressing the newly deployed Corp members on Friday at the NYSC orientation camp in Asaya, Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Governor Ododo
tasked them to contribute immensely to the growth and development of the country during their service year in the State.
The Governor, who was represented by the Kogi State Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development Hon Monday Anyebe further enjoined the newly posted Corp members to promote national unity and integration during the scheme which he described as a viable tool for the implementation of critical National development Programmes.
While Congratulating the Corp members on the successful completion of their educational endeavors from their various institutions of learning both home and in the diaspora, Governor Ododo said, “The orientation Programme is specially designed to instill leadership qualities such as perseverance, discipline endurance and team work during and after their service year in the state”
Earlier in his remarks, the Kogi State Coordinator of NYSC, Femi Osungbobun admonished the Corp members to follow the rules and regulations of the camp adding that the organization would not tolerate indiscipline in the camp.
He expressed appreciation to Governor Ododo for his commitment to the welfare of Corp members in the state.
Osungbobun also appealed to the Kogi State Government not to relent in it efforts by considering the completion of the perimeter fencing of the NYSC permanent orientation camp in Asaya for the safety of the Corps members and the members of staff.
